Kick-Start Your Dream Life By Doing These 5 Things

Life can be lived through design or by default, and I believe that we all have the power to take charge and design our own.  This requires doing things in a certain way or doing things differently than you have been doing.  You must tap into the power of identity shifting to make a significant change.

We are where we are because of the actions and habits we have created for ourselves over a period of time.  Below I will share how you can kick-start your dream life by doing 5 things. This will ensure that you can begin to create the life that you really want. A life of design, not default.

Do these 5 thing’s today

1. Find out what’s important to you

How can you live an extraordinary life if you don’t know what is important to you?  Perhaps you find yourself living with the burden of your parent’s expectations or following in the footsteps of your closest friends.

Are you living for yourself, or are you trying to please someone else?

Spend some time alone and note down some of your biggest values in life.  Do you consider your health to be a big value in your life?  If so, are you doing as much as you could be to ensure your actions match this value?  Knowing this could trigger a light bulb moment in your head at any second.

An example purpose statement of my own:  I live and share my passion for self-development, health & fitness, and well-being.  I am a mindset coach;  transforming millions of lives while living my own dream at the same time.

2.  Get clear on your purpose

Generally, your purpose is going to be something that you absolutely feel is your calling in life.  It would be something that requires little effort;  A simple want-to-do, no matter what, kind of purpose.

If you weren’t paid for it, would you still love to do it?

Often, our purpose is born from emotional trauma and past difficulties.  It is something that may take some time to develop and nourish.

Your purpose should have some involvement in helping others in some way.  Shaping the world into a better place with your skills and abilities.

3.  Create a clear vision of your destination

Think of your vision as the bigger picture, the dream in your mind, being the star of your own movie!

Imagine a world of endless possibilities and freedom, what would you be doing with your life?

How would you spend each day?

Where would you be living?

How do you feel in your day-to-day life?

Think about your friends/family/relationships.  How would they look?

Picture something BIG;  something that excites and scares you at the same time.

4.  Change the way you think

To live an incredible life, you’ll have to eradicate the negative focus from your mind.  Unfortunately, we live in a world that seems to focus on problems, not celebrations.  It’s up to us to recognize and decide that we have a choice of how we want to feel by focusing on things that make us smile. 

It takes time to reprogram your habits and old conditioning, but it can be done;  It will change your life! 

During your day, try to notice 5 things that annoy you or give you negative emotions in some way.  Try to observe those feelings, and then look at them from a different perspective.  Focus on a good thing from the situation, and recognize how different you feel from doing so.

5.  Spend time with exceptional people

Seriously think about the people you spend a lot of time with, and whether or not they are improving your life in some way.  It is essential that you’re around people who challenge you, inspire you, help you, and make you feel good about yourself.  Even though helping others, we grow to greater heights.

Once you begin to get clear on your values, purpose, and vision, then you’ll clearly see where your time should be spent.

Maybe you need to make some big changes and difficult decisions.  But in the end, you have to live a life that’s true to yourself and makes you happy.
