Many trainers will offer packages and discounts for longer term commitments.
Factors to consider
1. The location and facility - is it a private studio or a commercial gym?
2. The experience of the trainer - Have they been in the industry for several years and worked with hundreds of clients, or did they recently finish school?
3. The certifications - Experience beats certifications. But they go hand in hand. More time in the profession generally leads to more certifications and knowledge. Some trainers also have additional tools. At Intra Fitness, the focus is beyond the gym. 4. Any specialties - If you're looking specifically to work with a trainer who specializes in post natal exercise, then always go for that option.
Without your health, nothing else in life matters. Intra Fitness truly believes that investing in your health and wellness is one of the most important things to do. Clients have benefited in all areas of their life working with a personal trainer.
This depends on a few things and it differs for each person. A highly motivated and experienced fitness fanatic could get amazing results seeing a trainer just once per week. This assumes that person is doing 2-3 other workouts on their own every week and already performing well with their daily habits.
Most people would benefit more between 2-4 times per week. This is determined during the consultation.
Yes, if that's your goal. But there is another important factor to consider here. A personal trainer works with you during the allocated sessions, provides you with the tools to succeed, supports you, and holds you accountable. But you must be committed to follow through outside of the gym and put the work in.
This is dependent on the scope of your goal. If you're looking to lose 10-12lbs for a vacation, then 3 months or so would be a realistic time frame.
However, if you're looking to transform your entire lifestyle and make huge changes, I would consider a longer term approach - 6-12 months +
