How to Overcome Your Lack of Confidence

A Lack of confidence will limit your overall health, happiness, and freedom.

I can say from personal experience that I know what a lack of confidence feels like, and it's certainly not fun.

Sometimes it can trickle over into multiple areas of your life. And in each area, there will be specific habits that destroy your confidence too.

Low confidence can emotionally cripple you and keep you in a state of unwanted feelings.  Oftentimes, it will give you a lack of desire to do things, difficulty keeping your head up, and constant worry about failing at things. It just feels like all of your personal power has been eroded.

Let's look a little deeper...

What is confidence?

Confidence is:

  • A feeling
  • Trust within yourself
  • Conviction in what you do
  • A certainty in yourself
  • Strong body language

Think about specific areas of your life where you feel a lack of confidence. Maybe it crosses over into multiple areas? The good news is that no matter how much you lack right now, you are more than capable of building up your confidence and self-esteem.

Confidence is an internal game

As with most things, confidence starts from within. If we don't feel a certain way (confident), we won't be.

As a result, this leads to a downfall in many emotional states.

Do you know people who are extremely good-looking, yet they feel the complete opposite of what people would compliment them on?

It seems like they have it all to the outside...

The truth is that our own thoughts and beliefs of how we see ourselves, matter more. Our self-worth is so important. We create stories about what things mean and they are reflected back to us in reality. Then we say "see, I told you so".

We become what we think about. The law of attraction is always working.

Confidence tips

  • Accept that it's okay to fail in life and to be rejected. It doesn't mean anything significant about the type of person you are.
  • Observe and model confident people. Notice how they carry themselves, walk into a room and every subtlety about their body language.
  • Start to visualize the person you want to become.
  • Consciously change your posture. Shoulders back, head up, standing tall.
  • Set boundaries for yourself. Have a standard for your life and don't allow people to walk over you, because you only get one shot at life.
  • Decide that you want to change your lack of confidence and are prepared to take massive action.

Lack of Confidence no more - set yourself up for success

Do you take care of your health and fitness?

Are the foods that you're eating setting you up for optimal energy levels so that you can be in a peak state?

How about when it comes to making decisions? Are you a decisive person who makes your move without faffing around for hours?

Take note of people that you respect and admire. Additionally, learn what traits they have and things that you'd like to have yourself.
